Our teen driver’s education classes prepare students to pass state licensing requirements by providing them with the knowledge and skills to become safe drivers. Overbeke School of Driving serves beginning drivers throughout the East Side suburbs. Our highly-qualified instructors nurture new drivers as they progress from classroom to the open road. Consequently, Overbeke students boast one of the highest first-time pass rates in the state of Ohio.

Course Standards

Completion of this course fulfills the State of Ohio requirements for driver's education.

While preparing to become a licensed driver, your teenager will experience 24 hours of in-classroom drivers education classes paired with 8 hours of behind the wheel driving. Overbeke’s Behind the Wheel driving lessons satisfy the State of Ohio’s requirements for driver’s education for drivers under age 18. Per state law, teens can begin lessons when they are 15.5 years old.

Convenient Classes

Location. Location. Location.

Overbeke School of Driving offers teen driving classes at three convenient locations in the Cleveland area. You can enroll in classes at the Mandel JCC in Beachwood or Beaumont High School, or the Old Rockefeller Building in Cleveland Heights.

Classroom education is divided into 10 sessions, and you can take these sessions out of order or at different locations to suit your own schedule. Each class is scheduled to last 2.5 hours.

Additional Support Available

Each student is unique and the process of educating student drivers is therefore a highly individualized process. As students embark on their first real-world driving experiences, many find the added support of personalized instruction helpful. For this reason, Overbeke offers several additional options to complement the standard driver’s education packages. These include extra hours behind the wheel, day-of support for the road test, and private lessons to strengthen critical skills.
